If You Are a Fully Qualified Accountant We May Have a Job for You

We are convinced that St Matthew eAccounting is a great company to work for. And if you are fully qualified UK accountant you can give it a shot yourself (and see for yourself what we mean). Let me give you the facts first:

We are looking to hire a fully qualified accountant to expand our busy team (have a look at the people you will be working with ). You need to have a practise background and excellent working knowledge of Sage Line 50.

A few more details about the role

As you can imagine you also need to have broad knowledge in accounts preparation, VAT returns and corporation tax. 90% of the work is related to small UK Limited companies, so there is not gonna be much personal taxation involved here.

Your duties will include:

  • Preparation of year end accounts
  • Preparation of corporate and a few personal tax returns
  • Answering client queries by phone and email
  • Overseeing the work of Assistant Accountants

No surprises here, basically everything you come to expect from an accountant's firm. We do very little audit though so there is not much audit work involved at all in this position.

You will report to the Operations Manager (this is Maryna).

What we expect from you

Ideally you should have this background:

  • Must be a qualified accountant (ACCA, ICAEW) OR QBE and formal qualification imminent.
  • Must have extensive experience with Sage Line 50
  • Candidate must have at least 2 years working experience in a UK accountancy practice.

This is a permanent full time role. Salary is negotiable and based on qualification & experience.

I'm sold. How can I apply?

If this sounds like a job for you we suggest you contact us ASAP. We want to get this all sorted and settled before Christmas. In a first step simply email your CV to Maryna at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Sorry, but as we get quite a few applications we can only get back to the most promising candidates. So if you don't hear from us within 7 days we are afraid that the vacancy has been filled with another candidate. Please feel free for other positions in the future.
