Please be aware that VAT registration in the UK can take up to 6 months. The processes are slightly different in the UK as VAT fraud is an ongoing risk. Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs (HMRC) and the UK Border Agency follow very rigid and protracted procedures. If a VAT number is urgently required, you may consider buying a "readymade" (shelf) company from us at St Matthew. This shelf company will already be VAT registered.
