St Matthew is Nominated for the Start Up Stars Award by HSBC

I was delighted to be informed recently that St Matthew has been selected by HSBC for one of their major annual competitions.  There is a lot at stake here because the overall winner gets £50,000.

The competition is called Start Up Stars, and as you may guess from the name this is a competition for young businesses that are experiencing good levels of success in their early years.

The nomination period has closed for 2010 so we must wait and see whether we are lucky enough to reach the final stage.  This takes place at the Dorchester Hotel, and only the top finalists are invited to attend.  The event will take place on the 18th October 2010 and the overall winner will be announced on the day.

The awards are a major part of the calendar year and many young businesses are eager to be nominated and to reach the final stages.  Needless to say if you win you can look forward to the £50,000 prize, which is awarded in the form of business grants.  This represents an ideal opportunity to grow an already winning business even further.

I’m delighted that St Matthew has been nominated and I will be watching with interest to see whether we do indeed make the final round of whittled down nominations.  Previous winners of the award have managed to develop their business even further.  Since the whole idea is about supporting new businesses in the UK, the Start Up Stars awards play a key role in this aspect.

Of course you may contact us here at St Matthew at any time for professional advice on all matters pertaining to taxation and business.
