Fast Business Banking

Once your corporation has been formed it will have a business bank account by one of the major UK banks. As with all our other services you do not need to come to the UK for this process. However, due to recent changes in bank regulations we advise you that opening a bank account in person takes one day while remote bank account opening may take up to two months.

The requirements and processes of opening a bank account in the UK are more complex and often very different to those of other countries. We therefore have a multicultural and multinational team, who can explain the process in your language. Business Bank Account in any tradeable currency

It is possible to open sub-accounts in foreign currencies such as the Euro, the US dollar or any other currency that can be traded. This allows your global trading to be made much simpler and reduces the risks of foreign currency exchange fluctuation. If you require this, please let us know and it will be set up for you.

Please bear in mind that the business account you are opening will be in Pound Sterling currency first. Only after you have opened an account in Pound Sterling, you may then request a different account number for a different currency.

Business Bank Account opening procedure

We have years of good relationships with our bank manager, which gives you two options for opening an account:

• Let us open a business account for you
• Come here and open the account yourself with our help

Some of the services, which you will be entitled to are:

• six months' free banking
• a multi-currency cheque book (on request)
• electronic payments
• access to an overdraft facility (subject to agreement)

When you would like to open the account yourself, with our help

If you follow our advice and come to the UK to open the bank account in person, we will:

• arrange the appointment for you
• make sure your consultant at the bank is our friendly and experienced bank manager
• have a pre-meeting, in which we explain the procedure in your language
• make sure you have all necessary documents beforehand to avoid delay
• come with you to the bank account opening appointment for support
• act as an interpreter at the bank account opening appointment
  

Please remember that if you choose to open the account in person, you will be able to open and get the following on the same day:

• the account number
• phone and internet banking services
• cheque book
• debit card

When we open the account on your behalf

However, if you do choose to let us open an account for you, we can complete the forms and the process as soon as you have sent us the necessary documents by post. Due to recent changes in bank regulations the process of opening a bank account remotely can take up to two months. The details we need from you are:

• an accredited copy of your passport including the page with your signature in order to confirm your identity
• a bank statement addressed to your home from from the last two months, which must include transactions (please have these translated if they are written in any letter system but the Latin system)
• If your country issues a type of ID, which includes your home address you may send us a copy of both sides of this instead of a bank statement
• If your country is not part of the European Economic area, you need to send us an accredited copy of your work visa for the UK

It will take about two months for the bank to review your application. Once they are happy with it you should receive everything within 1-2 weeks. You may also apply for a credit card afterwards, which is subject to conditions laid out by the bank.
